El Dorado County District 2 Newsletter

Welcome to the two new members joining the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors: District 1 Supervisor Greg Ferrero and District 3 Supervisor Brian Veerkamp. District 2 Supervisor George Turnboo will be presiding as Board Chair for the 2025 year. District 4 Supervisor Lori Parlin and District 5 Supervisor Brooke Laine will continue their duties serving their respective districts. The District 2 office is looking forward to a productive year with the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors. We will continue to work with El Dorado County Government on behalf of the people.

Congratulations to the graduates of the El Dorado County Probation Department CCC program. The graduation ceremony was an inspirational and festive event as recognition was awarded to the individuals who got their lives back on track to graduate. Heartwarming stories were shared and certificates of recognition handed out. Event like this show the dedication and hard work of our Probation Department yields positive results. Special thanks to Chief Probation Officer Brian Richart for the invitation to attend, and to the staff who work tirelessly to help residents.

The El Dorado Hills Area Planning Advisory Committee (APAC) was formed in 1981 to provide public input for the development of the County’s new area plan for El Dorado Hills and Salmon Falls. While APAC is only an advisory committee to the County, its recommendations make a difference by influencing land use projects. APAC submits reports, expresses support or disagreement with land use planning for the community. They provide a list of EDH related documents as part of projects being reviewed, upcoming events, and the latest APAC news. The El Dorado Hills APAC membership is open to all residents of EDH.
