September 11th Remembered

September 11th Memorial Flag

We humbly remember September 11th, 2001, also known colloquially as "9/11", as a day that brought great sorrow and tragedy to our nation. The attacks on the World Trade Center in particular have created many changes to the lives of Americans and the effects continue to shape policy decisions. We want to remember the families impacted by the disaster, including the numerous first responders who bravely worked to save as many people as possible. The long-term implications of such a tragic event caused tremendous pain and suffering worldwide but galvanized the resolve of Americans in the fight against terrorism. Many Americans alive during that time still remember how they first received the news of the attack. The National September 11 Memorial and Museum serves as a distinct reminder of the loss and honors the memory of those who suffered as a somber tribute to their lives. Never Forget.
