Turnboo Speaks To CA Assembly

-

California State Assembly

Supervisor Turnboo spoke before the California State Assembly Committee on Natural Resources at the State Capitol in support of AB 2787, which is legislation from Assemblymember Joe Patterson. AB 2787 is an exemption from solar requirements on wildfire victims rebuilding homes that did not have solar and were not insured for the upgrade costs of solar. Supervisor Turnboo was invited by Assemblymember Joe Patterson to speak in support of the legislation and explain the importance of the solar exemption for Caldor Fire survivors in Grizzly Flats. The District 2 office applauds the Office of Assemblymember Joe Patterson for their common sense solutions to help residents. AB 2787 passed the committee with unanimous support from committee members. We look forward to this legislation being passed by the California Senate and signed into law by the California Governor. We thank Joe Patterson for his ongoing commitment to the residents of El Dorado County.

Projects in Your Area

-

El Dorado County Seal

El Dorado County Planning and Building Department is releasing a new mapping tool currently called "Projects in Your Area" that will provide a map of building projects across our region. The map will provide most projects but not all projects, and is not intended to provide all information on all planning projects, but is intended to provide information on projects with considerable public interest. Additionally, the project information will be added and updated as needed through the construction process of the project, to keep the public informed. The project information page for a specific project includes details such as APN, description, assigned planner name, application number, site plans, maps, elevations, etc. The right hand column includes individual PDF files of the site plans, maps, elevations in a higher resolution format to download and below is a "status" showing where the project is currently in the process and next steps. Residents can use the "Projects in Your Area" mapping tool to be more aware of building projects in our region and as a way to inspire and inform others. Special thanks to Director Karen Garner, Planning Manager Ande Flower and staff for providing the public a way to learn more about nearby building projects by simply entering "engage el dorado" into a Google search.
