Turnboo Letter Support AB 2787
State of California Seal

Assembly Bill 2787 (AB 2787) is another great piece of legislation from the office of Assemblyman Joe Patterson. AB 2787 would permit the temporary suspension of solar requirements when rebuilding homes that were damaged or destroyed as a result of a natural disaster, such as fire or flooding, in an area in which a state of emergency has been proclaimed by the Governor. The exemption would only apply to homes that did not have solar installed prior to being lost in a natural disaster. In particular, this legislation would provide relief to residents in Grizzly Flats who are rebuilding after the Caldor Fire. Supervisor Turnboo supports common sense legislation like AB 2787 and wrote a letter in support of the bill. The District 2 office applauds the office of Assemblyman Joe Patterson for bringing forward this legislation.

Evacuation Routes With Perimeter

-

El Dorado County Sheriff's Office

El Dorado County Office of Emergency Services (OES) has been working to leverage resources to best assist residents during potential disaster events. OES has implemented a tool known as Perimeter, available at PerimeterMap.com, as a means of communication and mapping that is available to the public on any web accessible platform. Perimeter mapping assists the public with identifying resources, evacuation zones, road closures and other valuable information. A key feature of Perimeter is mapped out evacuation routes, which can be critical information for residents of our region when a natural disaster occurs. Although Perimeter is not an emergency alerting platform, information is kept up to date by El Dorado County so residents can remain informed.

To receive emergency alerts and warnings from El Dorado County, please enroll in Rave at Ready.EDSO.org, as complimentary to Perimeter.
