Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the 1/9/24 Board of Supervisors (BOS) meeting and to those who submitted comments to provide input on the Fee-to-Trust process. Next Steps:

During the 1/9/24 BOS discussion, staff suggested that the North Buckeye Rancheros Owners Association (NBROA) meet with the BIA to express concerns and ask questions about how the BIA will process the existing road easements. I have been in contact with NBROA leadership and will assist with facilitating a meeting with the BIA.

During the 1/9/24 BOS discussion, staff explained that when the Tribe pursues development of the Event Center that there will be an environmental review, with an opportunity for public comment on the impacts of the project, including but not limited to water and noise. I will share notices and announcements as soon as possible through my District IV Newsletter. If you know people who would like to receive the newsletter, please advise them to send an email to bosfour@edcgov.us and we will add them to the distribution list.
