COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER PROGRESS

chc

It is exciting to see progress being made on the new 30,600-square-foot facility which will be home to the new El Dorado Community Health Center! When complete, the new community health center will replace EDCHC’s current Placerville and Diamond Springs clinics and enable the organization to expand services which include primary care, dental, optical, pharmacy, lab services, behavioral health and addiction treatment services.

EDCHC’s CEO Terri Stratton explains: “In the last decade, EDCHC has grown considerably as demand for our services has increased.  We’ve outgrown our current facilities and cannot expand our care offerings to keep pace with the growing needs of the Placerville community without a significant upgrade to our facilities. This new state-of-the-art facility gives residents convenient access to a variety of health care services and enables us to add much-needed dental and optometry care, which is not readily available now.”

This beautiful facility is product of much community feedback, and the resulting design incorporates specific styles that pay homage to the area’s proud agricultural and mining history as specified in the Missouri Flat Design Guidelines.  Scheduled to open Spring 2022, this new Community Health Center will be a valuable asset for our community.

"SAVE THE GRAVES" FUNDRAISER

STG

This event is not to be missed!  Our cemeteries are some of the oldest in the state and they are filled with rich history.  In "Save the Graves", those stories will come alive as actors reenact the stories from some of the pivotal people who have shaped El Dorado County. This event is quite special.

Even if you cannot attend, I encourage you to donate.  Our cemeteries, especially our historic ones, are desperately in need of funds to maintain them.

HAPPY HARVEST SEASON

RBAbels

Spent the past two Sundays up at Apple Hill.  Our granddaughters loved the pony rides, mazes, crafts, pumpkins and treats.  Looking forward to hitting more ranches in October.

Wishing our Ag Community a bountiful harvest season!
