Latest COVID Updates

Starting February 26th, there is new State-level Youth Sports Guidance from our Governor. The State is also providing a new way to register for COVID vaccines. These new developments are welcome changes to COVID response.

El Dorado County is working hard to make COVID vaccines available. Currently, there is a high demand and a low supply. To help the highest risk individuals first, El Dorado County is offering vaccines to residents age 75+ as a priority. Older residents can email El Dorado County directly at eochealth@edso.org for more information.

Stop Human Trafficking

Human trafficking is one of the little known hidden dangers in society. Even in El Dorado County, forms of forced labor and the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) are occurring and must be stopped. If you witness human trafficking, make a confidential toll-free call to the National Human Trafficking Resource Center Hotline at 1 (888) 373-7888 to get help for the victim. In many cases, victims need an outside resource to help.

The El Dorado County Government works hard for the local residents. There are many departments, and respective facilities, that make up our local government. The Board of Supervisors works closely with the many departments to conduct county business. See the El Dorado County website at edcgov.us for more resources.

Road Funding

George is working hard to get more immediate funding for roads. When projects like the Diamond Springs Parkway needed more funding, George spoke up about using funding from latent future projects. Roads are of vital importance to our lives, and the biggest responsibility for the Department of Transportation. We must maintain our roads consistently, and find ways to mitigate the costs associated.
