FEBRUARY 12th MEETING

2-12

Vacation Home Rental Ad Hoc Committee Meeting

A vacation Home Rental Ad Hoc Committee Meeting was held on February 12, 2018 in Meyers.  Approximately 70 residents attended the meeting and shared their experiences with Vacation Home Rentals (VHRs).  Many spoke in favor of the positive economic contribution of VHR-related visitors and exemplary renters within their neighborhood.  Several spoke about the noise, trash and trespassing nuisance some of these VHRs create.  A few VHR owners and management company employees shared the steps they take to ensure renters understand and follow the rules.  Nearly everyone who spoke agreed that whatever changes are made to the Ordinance, they need to be reasonable and enforceable.

IN THIS ISSUE

  • 2/28/18 Traffic Meeting
  • 3/3/18 VHR Meeting
  • 3/5/18 Community Discussion in Pollock Pines

  • Protect Tahoe’s fair share funding.
  • Continue to strengthen Tahoe’s voice in County affairs.
  • Reduce traffic congestion on local roads and in neighborhoods.
  •  Improve recreation access and opportunities.
  • Protect and expand services for our most vulnerable population, including children, families, veterans and seniors.
