NOTICE OF IMMINENT CONSTRUCTION

2013 PAVEMENT OVERLAY PROJECT, P-863, P-903

 

This is to advise you that a construction contract has been awarded for a Public Works improvement project in your area.  The work is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 7, 2013 and be completed by November 2013.  This project consists of the removal and replacement of several inches of existing pavement with new rubberized asphalt on the roadways within the project limits listed below: 

 

1. Baldwin Avenue between Farragut Drive and end

2. Blackwelder Street

3. Braddock Drive between Sepulveda and Sawtelle Boulevards

4. Commonwealth Avenue between Garfield Avenue and Farragut Drive

5. Commonwealth Circle

6. Coolidge Avenue

7. Cranks Road between Hill and Tellefson Roads

8. Culview Street

9. Diller Avenue

10. El Rincon Way

11. Farragut Drive between Harter and Commonwealth Avenues

12. Farragut Drive between Overland Avenue and Elenda Street

13. Farragut Drive between Overland and Mentone Avenues

14. Franklin Avenue between Harter and Commonwealth Avenues

15. Franklin Drive between Overland Avenue and Elenda Street

16. Garfield Avenue between Harter and Commonwealth Avenues

17. Hannum Avenue between Fox Hills Drive and Slauson Avenue

18. Keystone Avenue between Farragut Drive and Le Bourget

19. La Salle Avenue between Braddock and Farragut Drives

20. Madison Avenue between Braddock and Farragut Drives

21. Mentone Avenue between Farragut Drive and Le Bourget

22. Mentone Avenue between Farragut and Braddock Drives

23. Molony Road

24. Patom Drive

25. Port Road between Coolidge and Etheldo Avenues

26. Purdue Avenue between Washington Boulevard and city boundary

30. Tellefson Road between Molony and Ranch Roads

Construction will also include placement of stripings, raised pavement markers, and adjustment of manholes if necessary.  Due to the construction, you may experience temporary loss of street parking, a brief loss of driveway access to your property, construction noise, dust, etc., even though every effort will be made by the City and the Contractor to minimize these inconveniences.  On trash pick-up days, please continue to place trash containers in the street as usual.  Your patience and cooperation in observing all traffic controls, parking restrictions and traffic control workers will be sincerely appreciated and will help in expediting construction of the project. 

 

If this notice is delivered to a multi-unit complex, we request the manager notify all occupants personally or via conspicuous posting in the mail delivery area.

 

The expected hours of work will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday with some Saturday work.  Please direct all inquiries or concerns to either the City’s Project/Construction Manager or the Construction Superintendent noted below.
