Stay Informed: Los Angeles Wildfires Update
The City of Culver City continues to monitor the disastrous fire activity in the Los Angeles area. At this time, the effects in Culver City have been relatively minor. There are no active fire threats to the City of Culver City.
The Culver City Fire and Police Departments are engaged in mutual response with other agencies, assisting in critical support of firefighting and evacuations.
"Our thoughts are with victims from neighboring communities who have experienced unimaginable devastation. Thank you to our first responders for their commitment to helping these communities in dire need," said Mayor Dan O'Brien. "This situation is a reminder to build a plan for yourself and family in case of an emergency. We will stay alert."
The forceful winds have knocked down trees and created power outages. The Public Works Department and its personnel are diligently engaging in cleanup throughout Culver City. You can report downed trees and debris by calling (310) 253-6420.
All permitted outdoor activities and classes are canceled and we advise residents that due to poor air quality, please refrain from strenuous activity outdoors in the parks. The Senior Center remains open.
Thank you to our community members for remaining prepared, connected and for sharing only verified information from the official City of Culver City platforms. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by fires, and we will remain vigilant in maintaining our community's safety and supporting our partners in public safety.
