Happening Today: 2024 Annual Downtown Culver City Holiday Tree Lighting Sled-tacular

You are invited to one of the biggest events of the year in Downtown Culver City. The Holiday Tree Lighting Sled-tacular has been enjoyed by thousands of attendees and participants for over 20 years and kicks off at 5 PM on Thursday, December 5th, in Town Plaza at the Culver Steps. Ushering in the 2024 Holiday Season, the festivities begin with the Sled-tacular - 50 tons of fresh snow for sledding and snow play, carnival games, and sweet treats along Main Street. The beloved Tree Lighting Ceremony starts at 6 PM, a 30-minute show featuring 250 local students and a countdown led by Mayor Yasmine-Imani McMorrin, City Council Members, and special guests to light the 25-foot tree on Town Plaza. Santa Claus will provide a special visit in his first appearance of the season in Culver City, meeting all children in front of the gorgeous and historic Culver Studios mansion! For friends and neighbors at home and across the country, the Tree Lighting Ceremony will also be live streamed at 6 PM with the recording available online throughout the season at the Downtown Culver City website. The event is free to the public. Sponsors and partners include the Culver City Downtown Business Association, Amazon MGM Studios, City of Culver City, The Culver Studios, Hackman Capital Partners, The Culver Steps, Kiwanis Club of Culver City, and local area businesses and service organizations.
