About the Parks Plan

Culver City’s existing parks are in need of rehabilitation or redesign to better meet current and future recreation trends. The Culver City Parks Plan is intended as a tool to guide city decision-making related to parks and recreation planning, programming, and funding on a long-term basis.

The aim of the Parks Plan is to support a healthier lifestyle for the Culver City community by assessing current and future opportunities and needs. The Plan emphasizes the role of these spaces in fostering community identity, protecting important sites, promoting education, supporting economic development, preserving cultural unity, and encouraging health and fitness. In order to complete this project successfully, it is critical that the community continues to take part in this process.
