City Council to Discuss Grant Application for Affordable Housing, Bicycle, Pedestrian and Transit Infrastructure on March 11, 2024
At its meeting on Monday, March 11, 2024, beginning at 7 PM, the City Council will discuss an application for grant funding for $35 million for the Jubilo Village affordable housing project and $14 million for City bicycle, pedestrian, and transit infrastructure. This includes a 1.75 mile segment of Class IV (protected) bicycle lanes along Overland Avenue between Washington Boulevard and Sawtelle Boulevard, sidwalk repairs, crosswalk enhancements, and new sidwalk around the southern perimimeter of Lindberg Park. It also includes transit improvements to increase service and frequency and reduce wait times on the Culver CityBus Line 6 and Rapid 6 line between UCLA and LAX on Sepulveda Boulevard.
Jubilo Village is an 100% affordable housing development that will provide 95 affordable one, two and three-bedroom apartments to at-risk and low-income households at 4464 Sepulveda Boulevard in Culver City. The Project will be developed by Community Corporation of Santa Monica in partnership with the property owner, Culver Palms United Methodist Church, and support from the City of Culver City.
