Culver City Launches New Youth Water Polo Class for Beginners
The Culver City Parks, Recreation and
Community Services Department is starting a new Beginning Water Polo Class on Tuesdays
and Thursdays this summer, beginning on June 19. This 8-week class meets for two
hours each day. It's a fun, safe way to introduce kids to the sport of water polo by incorporating swimming skills, safety,
teamwork, and the fundamentals of the game. Our Beginning Water Polo class harnesses
all the dynamic aspects of water polo while helping kids improve their swimming
abilities, make new friends, build endurance, and stay physically fit. Participants
will love splashing in the pool, learning a new sport and having a blast this
summer. Swimmers must be at an American Red Cross "Learn to Swim" Level 5 or higher to participate. Come join us - our pool is ready and waiting!
Registration will be on a first-come, first-served
basis, with limited spots available. The
fee for the 8-week class is $160 for Culver City residents and $192 for non-residents.
