May is Bike Month! Celebrate with these events and activities...

May is Bike Month!

Bike Month is a great excuse to take your bike out of the garage, pump some air in the tires, and go for a ride! The weather is getting warmer, the days are getting longer, and the forecast calls for plenty of sunshine (except maybe a dash of rain tomorrow). In Culver City, we encourage residents and visitors to get around our small town and enjoy our neighborhoods by bike. And for those with a longer commute, try biking + transit on Culver CityBus or Metro and enjoy free rides on Bike to Work Day on May 18th.

Mayor Jeff Cooper fits a child with a free helmet at Culver City's 4th Annual Walk & Roll Festival last Sunday.

Whether you're new to bike commuting or an experienced rider, it's a good idea to brush up on your California bike laws and these bike safety tips. You can also find a route on this map of LA County bikeways (or pick one up at our Bike to Work Day pit stop).

Bike Month is packed with activities to get you rolling!

Check out these workshops, rides, and events in Culver City to help you and your family learn the information and skills you need to be safe and confident on the road. For even more events around the region, go to Metro and LACBC.
