Cerritos Library is a popular learning destination for the entire community. To best serve patrons’ needs, advance registration is required for some Cerritos Library programs. How to Register In order to register, patrons must be in the City’s class registration database and have obtained a family account access PIN number and individual family member personal numbers.
On-line registration To check the availability of classes or to register for classes, please visit the Cerritos home page at cerritos.us and look for the on-line registration link. The program, eConnect, is best viewed with Internet Explorer. Before registering for classes on-line, print the eConnect User’s Guide for step-by-step instructions.
Only Visa and MasterCard will be accepted as payment. For additional information and/or to obtain the PIN numbers, please call the Library Reservation Desk at (562) 916-1388. Computers at the Cerritos Library may be used to access eConnect.

SCORE GIVEBACK/ PSAT TEST STRATEGIES All test takers will receive a detailed score report showing their strengths and weaknesses on Thursday, July 18 at 7 p.m. in the Skyline Room. MICROSOFT WORD INTERMEDIATE In this three-hour class, instructor Jason Galeener will teach participants how to use Microsoft Word 2007 at an intermediate level. INDIAN DANCE RECITAL Several members of Arpana Dance Company will present an evening of Bharatanatyam, which is one of six classical dance traditions of India with origins dating back 2,000 years. ACCESS VIDEO ON DEMAND Access Video On Demand is a streaming video database of more than 10,000 titles that can be viewed with a Cerritos Library card in the library or off-site. Thousands of acclaimed documentaries, educational films and helpful instructional videos cover Art and Architecture, Career Planning, Languages, Home How-To, Travel and more. Special collections include the BBC, History Channel, PBS, Ken Burns, National Geographic and others. New titles are added monthly and closed-captioning is available for many titles. No software is required to watch the videos on your PC, Mac, iPad or Android device. If you have the capability to connect your computer or laptop with your TV, you will also be able to watch these videos on a bigger screen.
To access this video collection, go to the Cerritos Library home page at menu.ci.cerritos.ca.us. Click on "Databases" in the left column under Reference, then click on "Videos." Log in with your name, Cerritos Library card number and PIN (first two letters of your last name and date of birth – month, day, year). Click on "Go" and view the video of your choice.
Library Displays
PAPER TOLE ART EXHIBIT Several spectacular paper tole or three-dimensional paper art pieces by students of Amy Chen will be displayed in the Library's lobby area through the end of July. In addition to landscapes and floral pictures, the display will include many patriotic pieces to tie in with the Fourth of July.
PAINTINGS BY TIFFANY HU A collection of acrylic paintings by seventh grader Tiffany Hu of Whitney High School will be on display through the end of July in the Local History Museum.
ARTISTS' BOOKS As part of the ongoing exhibits planned to showcase the unique pieces from the Library's special collection of artists' books, a variety of these books will be displayed throughout the Library until the end of July. This exhibit will include portfolio, pop-up, scroll and tunnel books, and several special books that use metal, glass and other unusual materials.
MY WONDERFUL MOM Portraits created by students at the art workshop held at the Library in May will be displayed in the Children's and Young Adult display cases throughout July. Local children and teens produced these one-of-a-kind art pieces under the guidance of local artist Nirali Thakkar.
PEZ CANDY DISPENSERS An integral part of the American scene for approximately 50 years, PEZ Candy has been enjoyed by generations of Americans. Available around the world in more than 80 countries, PEZ Candy and dispensers have universal appeal. Enjoy the PEZ dispenser collection of Dawnine Medina in the Young Adult area through the end of July.
