Cerritos Library is a popular learning destination for the entire community. To best serve patrons’ needs, advance registration is required for some Cerritos Library programs. How to Register In order to register, patrons must be in the City’s class registration database and have obtained a family account access PIN number and individual family member personal numbers.
On-line registration To check the availability of classes or to register for classes, please visit the Cerritos home page at cerritos.us and look for the on-line registration link. The program, eConnect, is best viewed with Internet Explorer. Before registering for classes on-line, print the eConnect User’s Guide for step-by-step instructions.
Only Visa and MasterCard will be accepted as payment. For additional information and/or to obtain the PIN numbers, please call the Library Reservation Desk at (562) 916-1388. Computers at the Cerritos Library may be used to access eConnect.

S.A.T. PRACTICE TEST In collaboration with Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions, a free full-length S.A.T. practice test will be offered for students in grades 9-11. Space is limited to 50 students. SCORE GIVEBACK/S.A.T. TEST STRATEGIES All test takers will receive a detailed score report showing their strengths and weaknesses. Information about test-taking strategies will also be offered. YOUNG REMBRANDTS Children learn the finer points of art in this series of workshops presented by Young Rembrandts. DIGITAL CAMERA WORKSHOP Learn how to take better photographs with your point-and-shoot digital camera in this hands-on workshop. BALLOON WORKSHOP Did you get hooked on balloons at the first balloon workshop? Join balloon storyteller Annie Banannie for another class of beginning balloons featuring hearts and flowers. BLADE OF THE NORTH WIND Meet Jeong Mo Yang and Vincent R. Porter, the creater and the writer of the graphic novel "Blade of the North Wind." FIGURINES BY BLACKSHEAR Several exquisite figurines by world-renowned illustrator and sculptor Thomas Blackshear will be on display in the Local History Museum and the Young Adult area through the end of March. These special pieces from the artist's "Ebony Visions" collection are on loan from John Townsend.
MAASAI COLLECTION The Maasai Collection of bronze figurines by Stacy Bayne brings to life the tribal culture and heritage of the nomadic Maasai tribe, which follows herds across the open African Savannah. These limited edition collectors' items from John Townsend will be on display in the Library's lobby area until the end of March.
ALL THAT JAZZ This collection of figurines of musicians conveys both rhythm and soul through the interplay of form and space in sculpture. This collection by Willitts Galleries from the private collection of John Townsend may be enjoyed throughout March in the Library's lobby area.
