ICYMI: football season is back! Take Capitol Corridor to every home game throughout the season. Avoid the stress of traffic and parking and let the fun begin as soon as you board the train, which provides direct service to Levi’s® Stadium via the Santa Clara-Great America (GAC) station.

September is Rail Safety Month
In late August, we kicked off September Rail Safety Month with a special safety train ride and press event between the Oakland and Hayward stations. Together, Capitol Corridor Joint Powers Authority, California Operation Lifesaver, Union Pacific Railroad, Amtrak, and other rail safety partners worked to raise awareness about rail safety. City staff participated in this morning’s activities and railroad and local law enforcement issued 43 warnings and citations to motorists and pedestrians who failed to follow traffic signs and signals at railroad crossings.

Transit Month
September is also Transit Month! We’re thrilled to be joining San Francisco Transit Riders (SFTR) and Seamless Bay Area in the month-long Ride Contest to track your transit trips, win prizes, earn badges, and compete against friends and for top leaderboard positions. The participant with the most Capitol Corridor rides by the end of September will win four (4) roundtrip train tickets! Let's show our elected leaders how important transit is to our region, and that we need to continue funding it.

Hispanic Heritage Month
Happy Hispanic/Latin Heritage Month, which we commemorate from September 15 - October 15. Capitol Corridor exists to connect Northern Californians across its diverse groups, including our Hispanic community. We value the importance of a diverse workspace and listen to the communities we serve.
