Benicia Police Identify and Arrest Suspect Bank Robber from March 2011
The City of Benicia, California sent this bulletin at 03/08/2012 11:01 AM PSTBenicia Police Detectives have identified the suspect who committed the robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank located inside the Raley's supermarket at 892 Southampton Road back on March 15, 2011. After a year long investigation Benicia Detectives were able to identify the suspect as 49 year old Ronald Whitlow of Vallejo.
This morning (March 8, 2012) at approximately 7:30 AM Benicia Detectives with the assistance of the Vallejo Police Department Crime Suppression Unit and the FBI served a search warrant and arrest warrant at Whitlow's Vallejo residence on the 100 block of Rounds St in Vallejo. Whitlow was present at the time and was arrested without incident. Whitlow was booked into the Solano County Jail on one count of bank robbery. The warrant was a no bail warrant and Whitlow is also Napa County probation for theft. He was also booked for a probation violation.
"New leads were developed in this case that led our detectives to Whitlow," Benicia Police Detective Sergeant Scott Przekurat said. "Detective's Kevin Rose and Gregg Rouse worked diligently with the FBI and Vallejo PD to obtain both the arrest and search warrants for Whitlow. We are also continuing our investigation to see if Whitlow is involved in any other bank robberies."
