Arrest made for Kidnapping and Terrorist Threats

AGE 33, Benicia Resident
Arrested for Kidnapping and Terrorist Threats and booked into the Solano County Jail in Fairfield.

On 9-19-11 around 1:42 AM, the Benicia Police Department received a call from a female who stated she had been forced into her vehicle by Bickford around 1:00 am while she was at her residence. She said he ordered her to drive away from the residence. After a couple of stops she was able to drive away and escape after Bickford exited the vehicle, while it was stopped in the City of Benicia. The victim reported Bickford threatened to kill her prior to her escape. The suspect and victim have had a dating relationship in the past, but the motive for the abduction is still under investigation.

Shortly after 5am this morning, officers from the Benicia Police Department located Bickford in the area of the victim’s residence and took him into custody without incident.
