As many of you are aware, our beloved 73-year-old Community Center, which has been the heart of our community for generations, is in dire need. The center has been heavily used over the years, providing a space for gatherings, events, and activities that have brought us together as a community.
The City of Belmont is working hard to secure the continuity of the Community Center, which includes considering utilizing developer contributions from new construction and seeking infrastructure grant funding opportunities to leverage for Community Center needs. Should the City also consider utilizing the Community Center as an emergency relief center, the City can seek matching funds from the State or County as well.
But, we can’t do it alone—we need your help!
