Hello,
Today, we honor the heroes who answered the call of duty on 9/11. We remember the unwavering courage of first responders, military service members and the everyday Americans who stood in the face of unfathomable terror and sacrificed everything to serve others. We pray for the families who lost loved ones and recognize the strength of the victims who survived. On this 25th anniversary, I encourage all community members to take a moment to reflect on the memory of that fateful day and ask themselves: how can I serve others too?

As we mark the 25th anniversary of Sept. 11, we are reminded of the many forms that service and sacrifice can take. Thank you to our first responders and service members, past and present, for answering the call to serve and protect. I am also grateful for the everyday people who, in the most difficult moments, have the courage to step forward, put others before themselves, and lend a hand when it is needed most. Their selflessness is a powerful reminder of what it means to serve one another and the strength we find in standing together. Today, we honor the lives lost and remember the families and loved ones who carry their memory forward. We have not forgotten, and we never will.
Your voice matters! Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 16, the City’s National Community Survey (NCS) will open to all American Canyon residents. Over the past several weeks, randomly selected households have had the opportunity to participate, and now we want to hear from the entire community. The NCS is your opportunity to tell us what matters most to you. From City services and public safety to parks and recreation, we want your honest feedback. What we learn will help guide future decisions about City services and community priorities. Be on the lookout for information on how you can participate starting Sept. 16. I hope you will take a few minutes to share your thoughts and make your voice heard.

Community Meetings
The City of American Canyon will host two community meetings to provide residents with an opportunity to learn more about Measure P. Attendees can hear information about the measure, ask questions, and connect directly with City staff. These meetings are intended to provide clear, factual information about Measure P and help answer questions from the community.
Meeting #1: Virtual Community Meeting

Meeting #2: In-Person Community Meeting
