Suspect in a Robbery Arrested in Vacaville

AMERICAN CANYON, Calif., Nov. 7, 2025 — On Friday morning, Nov. 7, at approximately 9:15 a.m., the American Canyon Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at Walgreens in American Canyon. Upon arrival, officers learned a male suspect entered the business and robbed a victim of over $2,000 in cash during a money transfer transaction. The suspect fled the scene in a 2003 Lexus sedan eastbound on American Canyon Road. ACPD officers notified neighboring law enforcement agencies of the Lexus sedan and incident.

A short time later, the Vacaville Police Department notified ACPD that the Lexus was involved in a traffic collision and the suspect fled the scene on foot. Inside the Lexus was a large amount of U.S. currency.

Vacaville police officers located and detained the male suspect, and the victim of the robbery positively identified him. 21-year-old Vallejo resident Jyryn Austin-Andrews was arrested and booked into the Napa County Department of Corrections for robbery, which is a felony. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges might be added in the future.
