Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest and Firearm Seizure
AMERICAN CANYON, Calif., Oct. 23, 2025 — Shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday night, Oct. 22, American Canyon Police conducted a traffic stop on a silver Honda sedan for expired registration and a window tint violation. The driver, identified as 36-year-old Pryscilla Perez of Oakland, was found to have a suspended driver’s license. The passenger initially provided a false name but was later identified as 27-year-old Armonie Pugh of Antioch, who is on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) in Alameda County.
During the investigation, officers searched the vehicle and located a loaded and altered, unregistered AK-47–style rifle with a 30-round magazine concealed in the back seat. Both Perez and Pugh were arrested and booked into the Napa County Jail.
Charges for both include felon in possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a modified firearm and possession of a concealed firearm within a vehicle. Pugh faces an additional charge of providing false identification to a peace officer.
