Four Arrested Following High-Speed Pursuit: Stolen Vehicle, Firearms and Stolen Property Recovered

AMERICAN CANYON, Calif., July 3, 2025 — In the early morning hours of Thursday, July 3, just before 3 a.m., American Canyon Police initiated a traffic stop on a white Mazda near Newell Drive and Donaldson Way. While the vehicle initially came to a stop, it quickly fled the scene at a high rate of speed, leading officers on a pursuit through American Canyon, into Vallejo and onto westbound Highway 80.

The chase ended near San Pablo Dam Road on Highway 80 when the suspect vehicle lost a tire and crashed into the highway median. The driver, later identified as Dorian Watts, fled on foot but was apprehended by officers after a short foot pursuit. With assistance from the California Highway Patrol, the three remaining occupants—Sergio Hernandez, Javier Arredondo, and a juvenile—were taken into custody without further incident.

All four suspects are residents of San Francisco.

A search of the vehicle revealed it had been reported stolen. Officers also recovered two loaded firearms inside the car: one a recently reported handgun stolen from Berkeley, the other an unserialized "ghost gun." Additional items located included ski masks, gloves, a stolen license plate, key fobs, stolen wallets and various forms of identification not belonging to the suspects.

After receiving treatment for minor injuries from the crash, Watts, Hernandez and Arredondo were transported and booked into the Napa County Jail. The juvenile was released to a family member.

Watts was booked for 11 felonies, including an outstanding arrest warrant out of Santa Clara County for failure to appear in court. Hernandez and Arredondo were each booked on six felonies. The charges include felony evading, possession of a stolen vehicle and firearm, conspiracy and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
