Traffic Stop Leads to Arrests for Vehicle Theft and Burglary Tools
AMERICAN CANYON, Calif., June 30, 2025 — In the early morning hours of Saturday, June 28, American Canyon Police conducted a traffic stop near Danrose Drive on a Lexus sedan with registration that had expired for over a year. Upon contacting the driver and passenger, officers observed tools and electronic devices commonly associated with auto theft in plain view.
The driver, identified as Andrew Ollivier of San Jose, claimed to have recently purchased the vehicle but was unable to provide any ownership documentation. Officers continued their investigation and discovered the passenger, a juvenile, had been reported as a runaway. Further evidence indicated that both individuals had been conspiring to steal vehicles.
Inside the vehicle, officers located ski masks, a window punch, and electronic key fob programming devices. They also discovered a fraudulent VIN sticker placed over the original and confirmed the vehicle had been reported stolen out of San Jose.
Both subjects were arrested for conspiracy, possession of burglary tools, and related offenses. Ollivier was booked into the Napa County Department of Corrections and the juvenile was booked into Napa County Juvenile Hall. In addition to the above charges, Ollivier was booked on an additional charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
