Fraud Suspect Arrested at Redwood Credit Union in American Canyon
AMERICAN CANYON, Calif., June 26, 2025 — On the afternoon of Wednesday, June 25, American Canyon Police officers responded to a report of fraud in progress at the Redwood Credit Union in the City of American Canyon.
Upon arrival, officers contacted a woman later identified as Tamia Young, a resident of Vallejo, CA. Staff reported Young was inside the bank attempting to use a fraudulent Social Security card. During the investigation, officers discovered that Young is currently on probation in Santa Clara County and had used the false Social Security information to open four separate credit card accounts. All four accounts had been charged to their maximum credit limits, totaling nearly $16,000 in fraudulent purchases.
Young was detained and subsequently arrested on felony charges of identity theft.
Young was accompanied by Endya Patteway of Union City, CA. Officers discovered that Patteway had an outstanding felony warrant out of Contra Costa County. She was also taken into custody.
Both suspects were booked into Napa County Jail.
