Fatal Traffic Collision in American Canyon
AMERICAN CANYON, Calif., May 24, 2025 — At approximately 2:25 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, the American Canyon Police Department received reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a bicyclist, on Eucalyptus Drive between Theresa Avenue and West Donaldson Way. Upon arrival, officers and medical personnel found an adult male bicyclist in the roadway with severe injuries. He was transported to Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The Napa County Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT), with assistance from the Napa Police Department, responded to the scene to conduct a thorough investigation.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Currently, the cause of the collision remains under investigation. Alcohol, drugs, and excessive speed do not appear to be contributing factors.
The name of the deceased is being withheld currently.
