Spring is almost here in Am Can, with longer days, warmer weather, and endless fun are just around the corner. Daylight savings starts on Sunday, Mar. 9. Don’t forget to spring forward by setting an hour ahead. Then, take advantage of those extra daylight hours with a scenic hike at Newell Open Space or a relaxing stroll at Wetlands Edge Park –your leashed furry friends are welcome, too.
New! Saturday morning Lap Swim has started on the first and third Saturdays of the month from 8 - 10 a.m. at the Phillip West Aquatics Center. Get your Lap Swim Passes here.
Calling all kids (5-13 years old) and parents to join on Saturday, Mar. 15, from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. at Shenandoah Park for Soro’s Recess–a morning packed with games, face painting, balloon animals, and tons of fun. Don’t miss out, register today!
Early Summer camp registration is open now for all early planners. Registration for swim lesson, sports, and more begins on:
- Tuesday, Apr. 8 for residents
- Tuesday, Apr. 22 for non-residents

Calling all master gardeners to join us for a Community Garden Cleanup on Saturday, Mar. 22, from 9 a.m. -12 p.m. Bring your gloves, sunscreen, and water as we work together to create a beautiful and friendly space together.
