American Canyon Police make arrest following traffic stop on SR 29
AMERICAN CANYON, Calif., February 11, 2025 - On Monday afternoon, February 10, 2025, at approximately 2:00 p.m., officers with the American Canyon Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a gold Honda Accord traveling northbound on Highway 29 near Eucalyptus Drive. The vehicle was found to be in violation of registration laws, as it did not have current registration.
Upon further investigation, the driver, Timothy De Los Reyes Jr., a 51-year-old Vallejo resident, was found to be unlicensed to drive and on probation with Solano County. Due to the terms of his probation, a search of his vehicle was conducted, with assistance from the Napa Sheriff's Office K-9 unit and their K-9 partner, Maverick.
During the search, officers discovered body armor, a loaded 9mm firearm magazine, and quantities of suspected methamphetamine, consistent with the intent to sell. Additionally, De Los Reyes exhibited signs and symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance while interacting with officers.
As a result, De Los Reyes was arrested and booked into Napa County Jail for several charges, including driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, possession of a controlled substance for sale, and other related offenses.
