The American Canyon City Council meets regularly on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, located at 4381 Broadway, Suite 201. Occasionally, "Special Meetings" are added to the calendar. A meeting is considered "Special" when it takes place outside the regular schedule. In compliance with the Ralph M. Brown Act, agendas for all public meetings are posted at least 72 hours before regular meetings and 24 hours in advance of special meetings.
So far, 2025 has been extraordinary, with several Special Meetings held to conduct interviews and establish new commissioner terms for the Planning Commission; Parks and Community Services Commission and the Open Space, Active Transportation and Sustainability Commission. The City Council has also addressed other time-sensitive topics, prioritizing responsiveness to projects that reflect the needs and desires of our residents.
We warmly welcome and encourage everyone in the community to join us and be part of the conversation. Whether you want to share your thoughts, stay informed or see your local government in action, there are many ways to get involved. Each agenda includes instructions on how to provide public comments, whether on specific agenda items or during the general public comment period. You can view the meetings through multiple channels: Napa Valley TV on Channel 28, the City's YouTube channel, Zoom, the Virtual City Hall or by attending in person in the Council Chambers.
Your voice matters, and we look forward to seeing you at our next meeting!

Stay Prepared for Stormy Weather
Stormy weather is on the forecast! Be prepared for potential flooding, power outages and downed trees. Our 24/7 self-serve sandbag station at City Hall (4381 Broadway, near the tree & picnic table) is fully stocked with sandbags to help prevent/reduce flooding and water damage. Don’t forget to bring your own shovel and gloves.
PG&E is actively taking measures to reduce the risk of power outages. For real-time power outage information and to sign up for outage notifications, visit pgealerts.alerts.pge.com.
If you see drowned wires or other major safety hazards, call 911 immediately. For all other issues such as clogged storm drains and downed trees, call (707) 995-8674.

Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Rate Update
At the Feb. 4 City Council meeting, American Canyon will consider implementing new user fees for public Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations to ensure sustainable operations while continuing to support clean transportation in our community.
New rates:
- $0.47 per kWh per charging
- 30-minute grace period after charging is completed
- $2.50 per 15 minutes for vehicles remaining after grace period
With growing demand and rising costs, these modest fees will help maintain our charging infrastructure. We’re proud that usage of our stations has increased significantly, and we’re continuing to expand — with new solar chargers at the Phillip West Aquatic Center and Napa Junction, plus more charging stations coming to City Hall! Payment will be simple through EV Connect or ChargePoint mobile apps. City fleet vehicles will continue to charge at no cost using fleet cards.
