Three Arrested in American Canyon for Carrying Concealed Firearms

AMERICAN CANYON, Calif., January 28, 2025 - On Monday, January 27,2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., American Canyon Police stopped a grey Honda Civic on Highway 29 near Crawford Way for expired registration and for the passengers not wearing seatbelts. The vehicle was occupied by three adult males: driver Demetrius Perry, 23, and passenger Josiah Boyd-Vaughn, 19, both from Vallejo, and passenger Matthew Behnamia, 26, a resident of Fairfield.

Officers discovered that all three occupants were carrying concealed firearms. After further investigation, it was revealed that the weapons were either unregistered or stolen. The firearms seized included a semi-automatic Bohnmische Waffenfabrik FNH, a Polymer80, and a Glock 45, all of which were loaded.

As a result, all three individuals were arrested on multiple felony charges related to possessing and carrying the illegal firearms. In addition, Boyd-Vaughn was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant from Solano County for robbery.

The suspects were booked into Napa County Jail.
