Hello,
I hope everyone is safe and well. Our hearts are with all those affected by the fires in Southern California. I extend my gratitude to our American Canyon firefighters who have traveled to support the frontlines in LA County, working tirelessly to ensure everyone in our greater California community is safe.
In times like these, it’s especially important to recognize those who make a difference in our community. Each year, the “Gateway Award” celebrates individuals who have positively affected American Canyon through their contributions to local AmCan agencies, organizations or major projects. I invite all community members to nominate someone deserving of this prestigious recognition. Nominations are due by Feb. 14. The award recipient will be honored at the Community Recognition Ball on Saturday, April 26. Tickets will be available for purchase from Feb. 2 to April 13.
Take care and stay safe,
Jason B. Holley City Manager

Hello, American Canyon! I’m Mayor Pierre Washington, and I’m excited to welcome you to the Mayor’s Corner. This is a new space in our City Manager’s Update where I’ll address the questions, concerns and ideas I hear from you, our community. It’s a chance to clarify hot topics, dispel common misconceptions and connect you with opportunities to shape our city’s future—like participating in public meetings and other civic activities.
While Jason Holley, our City Manager, focuses on operational updates and project highlights, the Mayor’s Corner is about fostering conversation concerning our local community and ensuring your voice is at the center of our efforts. This will be a regular feature moving forward, all focused on what matters most to you!
As we kick off a new year with a new council, I’m honored to serve as your mayor and look forward to connecting with you directly through this segment. Together, let’s make this a great year for American Canyon!
Together in service, Mayor Pierre Washington
