Hello,
As we transition into the heart of summer, I'm excited to share important updates and safety tips from the American Canyon Police Department.
Congratulations to all our students who have recently graduated or been promoted to the next grade level. Your hard work and dedication have paid off, and we look forward to seeing your continued success. Let's celebrate these milestones responsibly and safely.
We have a variety of community events lined up this summer. These gatherings are a wonderful opportunity to come together, enjoy the season, and strengthen our community bonds. We look forward to seeing everyone at these events and encourage you to participate in the fun while staying safe.
Crime can sometimes increase during the summer months. Please help us help you by securing your homes and vehicles, being cautious of strangers, and reporting any suspicious activities to the police. See Something, Say Something! Call (707) 253-4451 to alert us. Remember, a safe community is a collective effort. With increased outdoor activities and travel, it's crucial to prioritize traffic safety. Be mindful of pedestrians, cyclists, and other drivers. Adhere to speed limits, avoid distractions while driving, and always wear your seatbelt. Let's work together to ensure our roads are safe for everyone.
Mark your calendars for National Night Out on August 6, 2024. This annual event promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer and more caring places to live. We look forward to your participation in this fantastic event.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation. Together, we can make American Canyon a safer and more enjoyable place to live, work, and play.
Stay safe, and enjoy your summer!
Warm regards,
Chief Rick Greenberg American Canyon Police Department

Did you know that registering your bicycle's serial number can be a game-changer in keeping it safe and secure? That's right! By taking just a few minutes to do this, you significantly increase the chances of recovering your bike in case it ever gets lost or stolen.
Why Should You Register? It helps the American Canyon Police Department identify and return your bike if it's found. Increases the chances of catching bike thieves and preventing future thefts. Provides evidence for insurance claims if needed.
How to Register:
1. Note down your bike's serial number. You can find it typically underneath the bike frame near the pedals or on the seat tube.
2. Access the online form HERE.
3. Fill out the form with accurate information, including the serial number and a brief description of your bike.
4. Hit submit, and you're all set!
Alternatively, you can also register your bicycle simply by dropping by the American Canyon Police Department at 911 Donaldson Way East, or calling (707) 551-0600.Let's all do our part in ensuring the safety of our beloved bicycles and encourage others to register theirs too!
