Hello,
Congratulations to this year’s American Canyon graduates and promotions! We are so proud of you and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
Summer is already off to a fantastic start, thanks to the American Canyon Chamber of Commerce. This week’s Meet Me in the Street was a resounding success. What a fun night of delicious food, special entertainment and family activities! Save the date for the upcoming events on July 10 and August 14. Hope to see you there.
This weekend, celebrate Father’s Day by bringing your dad (and his best dad jokes) to American Canyon Community & Parks Foundation’s Father’s Day Fun Hike this Sunday at 10 a.m. This outdoor educational event is open to all ages. Participants will walk the wetlands together to learn about the roles that wildlife dads play in the wetland’s ecosystem. Then, head over to American Canyon’s third annual Juneteenth Celebration. Join us on Sunday from 1 p.m to 6 p.m. at Main Street Park to honor African American heritage, history and freedom. Thank you to American Canyon Arts Foundation for partnering with us for this event!
And we’re just getting started. All summer long, we’re offering a wide range of opportunities for our community. Stay cool by spending time at the pool, or sign your students up for exciting summer camps. From open swim hours to adventure camps, there’s plenty of fun for residents of all ages. American Canyon’s 4th of July Celebration is also approaching, and we look forward to our annual parade, festival and fireworks. If you’d like to be part of the action, you can register your group or organization to be in the parade.
Thank you to the American Canyon Fire Protection District, American Canyon Police Department and AMR Ambulance Services for helping City staff brush up on their aquatics emergency rescue training. We are doing everything we can to keep our residents safe when they enjoy the pool.
Lastly, our National Community Survey™ (NCS) closes this Sunday, June 16, so don’t delay. We already have nearly 500 responses but were hoping for more. If enhancing the quality of life in American Canyon matters to you, please complete the survey ASAP. If you were one of the randomly-selected residents to receive the survey by mail, please complete it through that format. Your input will help identify priorities to make our city an even better place to live, work and play.
Thank you for helping us make American Canyon a place we all love to call home!
Take care,
Jason B. Holley
City Manager

Hydrant Flushing
Starting Monday, June 17, 2024, City water crews will be performing regular hydrant flushing in Zone 2 (the Montevino and Entrada subdivisions, Canyon Creek, Mobile Home Parks, Chesapeake, World Marine Estates and La Vigne). Water crews may also be in Zone 4 (Vintage Ranch and Main Street) during the latter half of that week. This process may result in short periods of discolored water due to the movement of particles and minerals at a high velocity. The flushing will happen in different zones as seen below. Please note that the flushing of each zone will take anywhere between 4 and 7 days.
For weekly updates on the hydrant flushing zone, visit American Canyon’s Construction Updates page.
