Hello,
Congratulations to our Teachers of the Year, Liz Corey from Canyon Oaks Elementary School and Cathy Margolati from Donaldson Way Elementary School. Thank you for your dedication to our youth and commitment to our community. I would also like to acknowledge Bev Pitt, American Canyon High School's Campus Supervisor of the Year. Ms. Pitt, your positive influence makes a real difference in the lives of those around you.
I am also thrilled to bring your attention to two events that play a crucial role in celebrating and enhancing our community’s spirit.
Each year, we honor those who have made a significant impact in American Canyon. All community members are invited to submit a nomination for the “Gateway Award."
The Gateway Award recognizes long-term and varied involvement in the development of American Canyon agencies, organizations, or significant projects. Nominees should display the American Canyon community spirit, embody the community values and interests, and have a successful track record of working for the betterment of the community.
Your participation is key — please take a moment to submit your nominations by February 23. And Save the Date for the Community Recognition Ball on April 27, 2024 (tickets will be on sale soon).
Lastly, don’t forget about our upcoming State of the City. The State of the City offers valuable insights into our community’s future plans. I invite you to join us for a comprehensive review of progress in American Canyon:
- Virtual Presentation: Wednesday, February 21, 2024, 6:30 PM, via the City's YouTube Channel.
- In-Person Presentation: Thursday, February 22, 2024, 11 AM, at the Adult Activity Center (2185 Elliott Drive).
- Chamber of Commerce Business Luncheon: Tuesday, March 12, 2024, 11:30 AM, at the Doubletree American Canyon. Tickets available here.
Take Care,
Jason B. Holley City Manager
P.S. Go Niners!
