October 14, 2023
Hello,
We normally reserve this forum to share information for American Canyon residents and businesses. But there are times when events abroad cannot be ignored.
Like many of you, we were shaken by the outbreak of violence in Israel that began over the weekend and continues today. Our hearts go out to all of the victims and their families who suffered unimaginable loss. And we pray for all those who will endure the calamitous aftermath.
But we must not let darkness and despair consume us here at home. Here, American Canyon remains a warm and welcoming place to all.
American Canyon promotes respectful and responsible behavior in our community. And we forcefully reject hateful language or violence - especially based on race, gender, or religion.
We are grateful for the American military personnel now deployed to the region and pray for their safe return home.
During this difficult time, let’s come together, lead with kindness and empathy, and support one another while we extend our hopes for peace and safety to all those impacted.
Thank you and take care.
Jason B. Holley City Manager

Final Phase of Paving Project: Expect Construction Zone Delays
The final phases of the annual paving project are scheduled for October 17-20, 2023, on various streets in the northwest area of town. The schedule is weather-dependent and will be rescheduled in case of rain. The most up-to-date schedule, project map, and information is available HERE. A portion of the work involves the full closure of streets. Here's what you need to know:
- Travel in these areas will be slower than usual. Detours will be marked with directional signage.
- Residents cannot park or drive on the impacted streets during this time. Please plan and park vehicles outside of the construction area. Any parked cars will be towed at the owner’s expense.
- Sidewalks will remain open.
- First responders will be able to access the impacted streets in the case of an emergency.
- Drivers should not drive on the new pavement until the barricades are removed. The new slurry seal is sticky and will stick to your tires if you drive on it before it is dry.
Residents in the affected areas will receive a notice posted on their front door at least 48 hours ahead of project impacts on their street. We understand the inconvenience construction can cause and appreciate your patience and understanding while we work. Please do not hesitate to contact the Project Engineer, Kristine delos Santos, at ksantos@cityofamericancanyon.org or (707) 312-2673 with questions, concerns, or special accommodation requests.

Enhanced Development Project Notifications
Every voice matters when it comes to shaping our community's future. And we are constantly working on new ways to reach out. That's why we're excited to unveil the first "Proposed Project" sign at 205 Wetlands Edge Road.
Sponsored by the American Canyon Community & Parks Foundation, this project would repurpose the Corporation Yard into a Napa River Ecology Center. We would like to know what you think.
In an era of progress and change, residents like you need to be informed and empowered to provide input on proposed developments. We hope you agree that posting an on-site "Proposed Project" sign will improve awareness and collaboration in decision-making. Visit our website to learn more about projects currently under construction, approved, and coming soon, as well as those under consideration. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Have you Enrolled your Utility Account in Autopay Yet?
American Canyon has implemented a new system for online billing. On InvoiceCloud, customers are able to view bills, make one-time payments, or set up autopay using a wider variety of payment methods!
Unfortunately, if you were enrolled in autopay on the old system, your autopay information did not transfer into the new system. If you noticed your outstanding amount due on your bill has increased, it's likely because your last autopay did not process, and you will have to sign up for autopay again.
Please visit InvoiceCloud’s site and click “Register Now” to create a new account. Once your account is created, you can set up autopay.

Only Rain in the Drain
We ask that AmCan residents avoid blowing, raking or piling leaves into the gutter and instead utilize your yard waste bin from Recology Vallejo-American Canyon! Once picked up, the leaves are composted to make new soil–helping the environment instead of hurting it. Contact Recology for an additional waste bin.
