Hello,

Residents are also invited to attend the Final Sweep Event on September 16 at the Phillip West Aquatic Center (100 Benton Way). During the event, customers can dispose of tires and utilize paper shredding services for free. The event will take place from 9 AM to 12 PM; no coupon is needed.
Lastly, Recology customers are encouraged to complete a Customer Service Satisfaction Survey about the services they receive from Recology American Canyon.
"Citizens Academy" registration is now open. This unique program fosters a deep connection with residents, providing valuable insights into city operations, decision-making processes, ongoing developments, and more. All the details and the link to apply are included below.
Noise is more than a nuisance; it can be a health hazard. Ongoing exposure to noise, including amplified music, can cause stress, anxiety, depression, and sleep disturbances to neighbors. American Canyon prohibits loud noise neighbors could hear – especially after 10 PM. When enjoying your favorite music, please be considerate of your neighbor. If you are suffering from the volume of someone else's favorite band blasting all night, please call non-emergency dispatch at (707) 253-4451.
Take Care,
Jason B. Holley City Manager

Let’s talk trash! Over the next few months, “flip-the-lid” audits will be taking place in American Canyon. These audits are a State requirement as outlined in California's recycling law (SB 1383), which requires residents and businesses to place compostable and recyclable materials in the appropriate carts and bins.
During our inspections, we’ll check the landfill, recycling and organics carts and bins to see whether customers are placing the correct materials into them. You may see American Canyon staff in yellow safety vests conducting these “flip-the-lid” inspections in your neighborhood. If we note any contamination problems, we’ll let you know and provide educational information to make things clear.
For more information on SB 1383 and how to properly dispose trash, visit American Canyon's Organics page.
