Greetings!
As we embark on another summer season, it’s hard to believe that this is already my second summer serving this amazing community. Our Parks and Recreation team has been putting in tireless efforts over the fall and winter to reinstate beloved programs and services that were temporarily put on hold due to the pandemic. We are excited to share with you all the exciting plans we have in store for this summer, including a full-day Summer Camp "Canyon Kids" as well as indoor facility rentals, enrichment half-day camps, and so much more.
And the fun doesn’t stop there! We’re proud to collaborate with local nonprofits and community partners to host community events that celebrate our diverse and multicultural community, including Juneteenth and AC Pride. Make sure to mark your calendars for our 4th of July Celebration at Community Park II, where we will continue our parade, followed by our park festival and ending with a spectacular fireworks show. We’re dedicated to enhancing and expanding our programs and services within the Parks and Recreation Department, and we encourage you to get up, get out, and play with us! We hope you take advantage and experience all that we have to offer - from our parks, trails, and open spaces to our recreational programs and services. 4th of July Event
Our annual 4th of July Celebration is coming up and we want you to join us! Celebrate the 4th of July with our parade, festival in Community Park II with food, community booths, live music, and spectacular fireworks! You won’t want to miss it. This is a FREE community event, so come out and celebrate with us. We look forward to seeing you there!
