April 14, 2023
Hello,
Welcome back—I hope everyone had a great spring break! Spring is in full bloom and summer is just around the corner. I hope to see all of you out at the Earth Day Event on April 22.
Parks and Recreation has big plans, including the return of our Canyon Kids Summer Camp! By now you’ve received our summer activity guide with the list of classes and programs that are available. Registration for American Canyon residents opens on April 24th and is available online at our Virtual CIty Hall. You can also register by calling (707) 648-7275 or visiting us in-person at City Hall (4381 Broadway) on weekdays from 8:30 AM–5 PM.
We take pride in partnering with our community members and nonprofits to make American Canyon the best place to live, work, and play. Without volunteers, we would be unable to offer many of the great programs, services, and community events we have today. We are so excited to honor our volunteers for their hard work and dedication at our upcoming Volunteer Appreciation event on April 29. During this event, one deserving volunteer - nominated by community - will receive the 2023 Gateway Award!
We encourage you to get up, get out, and play with us!
Take care,
Jason B. Holley City Manager

The contractor for the Wetlands Edge Court project, located at Wetlands Edge Road and Eucalyptus Drive, will be paving on Monday, April 17, with plans to begin after 8:30 AM. However, please be prepared for potential delays during school drop off and pick due to increased truck traffic in the area.
We know construction can be messy and disruptive at times. Thank you for patience and understanding while we beautify our City. If you have any questions, please contact Public Works at 707-647-4558. Alert Napa County Notification System Launching
In a continuing effort to keep Napa County residents safe and informed, the Office of Emergency Services will be transitioning to a new, more robust countywide notification system called Alert Napa County. Set to launch on April 15, Alert Napa County is the enhanced platform from the current Nixle system.
Anyone who has opted-in to receive messages by Nixle is automatically enrolled into Alert Napa County (without customization features) and will continue to receive emergency notifications as they always have. Here are some FAQs to help.
What is the difference between Nixle and Alert Napa County? Nixle is the emergency notification system used by Napa County prior to the launch of Alert Napa County. Alert Napa County is the county’s new emergency notification system that can provide customized notifications for subscribers who create an account through Alert Napa County powered by Everbridge. This customization allows the subscriber to add multiple devices and opt-in to receive notifications for areas within the county that they want to receive messages. Full press release here.
