American Canyon Police Recover Six Firearms After a Search Warrant in Vallejo

AMERICAN CANYON, Calif., March 29, 2023 - On Wednesday, March 29, 2023, in the morning, American Canyon Police, with the assistance of Napa Sheriff’s Deputies, served a search warrant in the 100 block of Marquette Avenue in the City of Vallejo. This is 1.5 miles past the American Canyon border. The search warrant was related to further investigation of 41-year-old Eddy Jerrelle Perez after he was arrested Sunday when he led officers on a vehicle pursuit to Richmond after taking off on a traffic stop.

Perez is prohibited from possessing firearms due to pending charges against him from Kern and Solano Counties. Five firearms and one bullet proof vest were recovered at Perez’s house in Vallejo during the search warrant. Several of them were un-serialized ghost guns. One firearm was tossed in the backyard by one of his relatives when officers were calling occupants out of the house from an armored vehicle.

A sixth firearm, which was another illegal ghost gun, was recovered by American Canyon officers after the search warrant on the side of the road near Highway 29 and Kimberly Drive. An occupant of Perez’s house told officers he tossed that firearm out the window during Sunday’s vehicle pursuit with American Canyon. Perez is still in custody at Napa County Department of Corrections and is pending additional charges related the illegal firearms found in his home.
