Richmond Man Arrested for Commercial Burglary In American Canyon
AMERICAN CANYON, Calif., March 8, 2023 - On Tuesday, March 7, 2023, morning, American Canyon Police received a report of a burglary from Dunkin Donuts after employees arrived for work that morning and saw the back door was broken open. Officers arrived and recovered video footage from the area to investigate. They saw two suspects in a white van had used a crowbar to force open the back door to the business earlier that morning. In late February, there was a similar burglary at the same location where the same suspects stole money and business equipment. Officers determined a license plate for the van from the video footage. On Tuesday night, American Canyon officers spotted the van parked near Napa Junction Road. They contacted the occupant of the van, who was identified as 51-year-old Nasir Khan of Richmond, CA. Officers determined Khan was on searchable probation out of Solano County. Clothing worn in the burglaries, burglary tools and drug paraphernalia were found inside the van. Khan was arrested and booked into the Napa County Department of Corrections for felony burglary, vandalism, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
