FIREARM DISPLAYED DURING CATALYTIC CONVERTER THEFT
AMERICAN CANYON, Calif., October 26, 2022, 10:30 AM - On Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at approximately 5:40 PM, a resident heard loud noises outside the front of their home on Iron Horse Drive. The resident went outside to investigate and saw a Hispanic male under their vehicle cutting off the catalytic converter. A second male subject approached the resident and displayed a black semi-automatic handgun and told them to go back inside, while the second suspect continued to cut off the catalytic converter. The resident went back inside and immediately called 911.
ACPD officers arrived in the area and located the suspect vehicle, a silver Toyota Corolla with black rims, fleeing the area on southbound Flosden Road from American Canyon Road. Officers attempted to stop the Toyota, the driver failed to yield and rammed the ACPD patrol car. Officers continued to pursue the Toyota until the vehicle entered westbound SR-37 in the eastbound lanes. ACPD terminated the pursuit due to the vehicle driving the wrong way in heavy commute traffic and public safety.
The suspects and their vehicle are still outstanding and have been described as two Hispanic male adults in their mid-30’s, 5’-5”, and 150-200 lbs. Anyone who witnessed the incident or can provide information to the apprehension of the suspects please contact Napa Dispatch at (707) 253-4451.
