VEHICLE PURSUIT ENDS WITH TWO IN CUSTODY

AMERICAN CANYON, Calif., October 3, 2022, 12 PM - On Sunday, October 2, 2022, at approximately 11:40 PM, an American Canyon Police Officer attempted to stop a 2006 red Dodge Charger for vehicle code violations on southbound highway 29 south of Kimberly Drive. The vehicle failed to stop and continued into Solano County at a high rate of speed onto westbound highway 37.
CHP air operations and ground units were notified and requested as the Charger continued into Marin County and onto southbound highway 101. CHP ground units attempted to disable the Charger with a spike strip but were unsuccessful. At this time, Marin County Deputies also assisted in the vehicle pursuit.

Dispatch advised pursuing officers that the vehicle's registered owner, Jessica Molina, had an outstanding felony arrest warrant out of Solano County. The Charger continued southbound on Highway 101 across the Golden Gate Bridge and into the city of San Francisco on highway 1. ACPD and CHP air units monitored the vehicle's location, at which time the driver foot bailed from the vehicle in the Presidio District on 14th Avenue. CHP was able to apprehend the female driver. A male was seen getting into the driver seat from the front passenger seat and continued to drive away. ACPD stayed with the Charger, continuing approximately a block farther near Lake Street. The Charger parked, and the male driver fled on foot. He was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. Officers located a stun gun on his person during a search incident to arrest, which he is not allowed to possess due to being a convicted felon.

The female Jessica Molina, 36 yrs of Fairfield, was arrested and booked into NCDC for the following felony charges; evading peace officers, conspiracy, her outstanding arrest warrant, and misdemeanor resisting arrest. She is currently in custody with a bail amount of $50,000.

The male Rex Harris III, 36 yrs, also a resident of Fairfield, was arrested and booked into NCDC on the following felony charges; evading peace officers, conspiracy, misdemeanor resisting arrest, and convicted felon in possession of a stun gun, also misdemeanor. Harris III is currently in custody with a bail amount of $50,000.
