2 Felons Arrested For Drug Sales and Possession of Ammo

AMERICAN CANYON, Calif., May 5, 2022, 12:00 PM –  On Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at approximately 10:00 PM, American Canyon Police Department (ACPD) officers stopped a black Toyota Camry for expired vehicle registration, on southbound SR-29 near the intersection of Crawford Way. Driver David Hizon, 38 yrs of Vallejo and passenger Rikie Fanning, 41 yrs of Dixon were contacted during the stop. Officers learned the occupants of the vehicle were on active probation, after Fanning originally gave officers a fake name. ACPD officers could see an open container of alcohol and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle revealed approximately one half ounce of methamphetamine, Xanax pills, oxycodone pills, and psilocybin mushrooms, along with items associated with the sales and use of narcotics. Officers also found .40 caliber ammunition inside the vehicle, Hizon and Fanning were both confirmed to be prior convicted felons.

Hizon and Fanning were both arrested for felony narcotic sales, felon in possession of ammo, misdemeanor drug paraphernalia, and conspiracy to commit a crime. Fanning was also charged with misdemeanor providing false information to a peace officer. Both were released a short time after booking.
