Lucky us to be able to serve such a beautiful community, work with our amazing partners and non-profits, enjoy our open spaces, and offer engaging and fun programs and classes for all.

 In February, along with our volunteers, we installed five Western Bluebird boxes. In our Wetlands Open Space, we planted Narrowleaf Milkweed, Coyote Mint, California Aster, and Western Golden-Top Seed. This project supports our native species by creating a thriving habitat for our Western Bluebirds and Monarch Butterflies. Our Open Spaces provide outdoor recreation opportunities to learn, play, and explore in American Canyon. Our responsibility is to protect and preserve our natural resources, wildlife habitat, and watersheds to continue to enjoy all that they offer in years to come.  This month, we would like to acknowledge that our Parks and Community Services Commission received the 2021 California Association of Park and Recreation Commissioners and Board Members Outstanding Commission. The American Canyon Soroptimist received the California Parks and Recreation Society’s District 1 award for Community Service. Please help us congratulate these two groups on their well-deserved awards.
Don’t forget spring registration is now open. Visit our website at www.cityofamericancanyon.org for all our program offerings. Don’t forget about summer; registration will start April 2022! Fun fact - our new recreation software, CivicRec, is soaring at more than 580 transactions, nearly 100 registration services above the old software (475 a month) in its first month!

The City of American Canyon has officially launched our new tool to register for Parks and Recreation classes!
Using CivicRec, the American Canyon Parks and Recreation Department is making the process of class registration, payment, and management easier for our residents!

 ACCPF Community Open House
The American Canyon Community & Parks Foundation is hosting our annual Community Open House, a casual, indoor-outdoor event, on Sunday, March 6, 2022, 4:00 - 6:00 PM at the Boys & Girls Club in American Canyon (60 Benton Way). We are grateful for your partnership support this year and invite you to join us for an afternoon of food, drink, and community fun.
Come mix and mingle with colleagues and neighbors as we wrap up Heart Your Parks month and celebrate with the community. Everyone is welcome, and it's a great way to visit with friends and learn more about the ACCPF’s programs and plans for the year.
