American Canyon's Magic of the Season Event Scheduled for December 4, 2021
AMERICAN CANYON, Calif., November 23, 2021- The City of American Canyon’s Magic of the Season event is scheduled for Saturday, December 4, from 6 - 10 p.m. at Shenandoah Park (100 Sonoma Creek Way). This year, the annual event will resume in person, following last year’s alternative virtual Magic of the Season event.
“Magic of the Season is a special tradition that brings our community together annually for a magical, fun-filled celebration,” said American Canyon Mayor Leon Garcia. “I’m happy that we can be in person again this year, and I’m excited to see our community enjoy all of the activities and programming that our Parks and Recreation Department has been hard at work planning.”
The event will kick off at 6 p.m. with a holiday-lighted parade and conclude with a surprise special guest. Additionally, attendees will enjoy a holiday tree lighting, a movie on the court, giant 90 ft slide, 30-person swing, trackless train ride, live reindeer, and photo opportunities with holiday characters. Parties interested in participating in the parade must submit the Holiday Lighted Parade Entry Form at https://lf.cityofamericancanyon.org/Forms/BUYyh.
In partnership with the American Canyon Chamber of Commerce and encouraging shopping locally this holiday season, this year’s event will feature a holiday marketplace consisting of local nonprofits and businesses. The Chamber encourages local nonprofits with limited budgets to participate. It is offering scholarships to nonprofits that need help paying for the entry fee to make it easier. American Canyon nonprofits or businesses interested in participating may contact the Chamber of Commerce at AmCanChamber.Org or (707) 552-3650.
“The Holiday Marketplace at Magic of the Season is a perfect opportunity for our community to get some holiday shopping done while enjoying a fun night with their family and friends,” said Valerie Zizak-Morais, American Canyon Chamber of Commerce President/CEO. “We hope guests will be ready to show our local nonprofits and businesses extra love this year by picking up a gift or two from our local vendors.”
The City encourages attendees to dress in warm clothes and bring chairs to enjoy the parade and movie on the court. RSVP via the City of American Canyon Parks and Recreation Facebook to stay updated on the event.
