Vehicle Pursuit Following a Burglary
AMERICAN CANYON, Calif., October 27, 2021, 11 AM, on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at approximately 2:30 AM, American Canyon Officers were dispatched to an in progress vehicle burglary at the Fairfield Inn and Suites, 3800 Broadway. On arrival suspects fled in a Silver Audi sedan, which had been reported stolen out of Alameda County. Officers continued to pursue the vehicle southbound SR-29 into the City of Vallejo to SR-37, where it crashed off the westbound onramp down a ravine into brush. A CHP helicopter and the Vallejo Police Department assisted in finding three suspects hiding in thick brush down the ravine. Officers recovered stolen power tools from a vehicle at the hotel. The suspects arrested were all out of Alameda County, Karina Barajas 19 years old and two male juvenile ages 15 and 16. Barajas was booked into the Napa County jail for the following felonies; possession of stolen property, vandalism, conspiracy to commit crime, and burglary. Additional felony evading of Officers will be filed at a future date.
