AMERICAN CANYON, Calif., October 29, 2021, the City of American Canyon invites applicants for the folllowing vacancies:
OPEN SPACE ADVISORY COMMITTEE (OSAC)
The Office of the Clerk is accepting applications from residents of American Canyon to fill three (3) four-year terms on the Open Space Advisory Committee. The terms will begin January 1, 2022 and end December 31, 2025. The Open Space Advisory Committee oversees open space efforts in American Canyon, according established goals. Committee meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 4381 Broadway St., Suite 201, American Canyon.
NAPA COUNTY MOSQUITO ABATEMENT DISTRICT BOARD
The Office of the City Clerk is accepting applications from residents of American Canyon to fill one (1) two-year term for the City’s appointee to the Napa County Mosquito Abatement District Board. The term will begin January 1, 2022 and end December 31, 2023. The board members represent all of the citizens that reside within the area served by the District and may or may not be mosquito and vector control experts. Board meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the District Office, 15 Melvin Road, American Canyon.
NVTA NAPA COUNTY CITIZEN’S ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Office of the City Clerk is accepting applications from residents of American Canyon to fill one (1) two- year term as the City’s appointee to the NVTA Citizen’s Advisory Committee. The committee addresses growing congestion issues and provides advice, comments and suggestions pertaining to plans, programs and projects administered by the NVTA. Committee meeting are held the first Wednesday of every other month at 5:00 p.m. at the NVTA offices at 625 Burnell Street, Napa.

November 28, 2021 – Applications must be submitted by this date.
December 14, 2021 – City Council Interviews for all openings.
December 21, 2021 – Appointments certified, Oath of Office administered.
January 1, 2022 – Terms of appointments begin.
