Early Morning Arrest

AMERICAN CANYON, Calif., October 12th, 2021, 8:00am–

On 10/11/21 at approximately 2am, American Canyon Police Officers stopped a Lexus due to its license plate being unreadable due to an obstruction. The driver did not have identification and verbally identified himself as 33 year old Robbie Lujan from Vacaville. Lujan said the vehicle did not belong to him and his license was expired. Since the registration on the vehicle had expired over 6 months earlier and Lujan was not licensed to drive, the vehicle was towed. During an inventory search of the vehicle, officers located an unloaded 9mm firearm in the center console. A criminal history check showed Lujan to be a convicted felon. Upon further searching, a black backpack was located on the front passenger with mail (including a bank statement), 3 State Identification cards and a credit card belonging to other people (9 apparent victims at this time). Lujan was arrested and booked into the Napa County Jail for being a felon in possession of a firearm, possessing a concealed firearm in a vehicle, and identity theft.
